Corn Dolly Straw-work for all.

Elaine Lindsay, internationally acclaimed for her traditional and contemporary Corn Dolly and Straw-work is returning to the Mearns on Sunday 1st November to give a Christmas themed workshop in The Venue, Laurencekirk. Elaine is in great demand at home and abroad fulfilling commissions for both the fashion and art world. Her skills are highly developed, her works are pieces of art and she thoroughly enjoys passing on her skills to others. She has inspired both men and women to take up the craft and here in the Mearns she has a dedicated following which began over 4 years ago when the Grassic Gibbon Arts Group organised a workshop at Arbuthnott. Since then she has returned twice annually and her workshops have been well attended.

Elaine welcomes both beginners and those well practised in the craft to join her on Sunday at The Venue, 10.15am-3.15pm.
