  Pinocchio comes to Archaeolink
Award-winning theatre company, Illyria, are returning to Archaeolink for the fourth successive year.

The unique setting of Archaeolink Prehistory Park is the venue for a theatrical performance of the classic fairy tale of Pinocchio.

Award-winning theatre company, Illyria, are returning to Archaeolink for the fourth successive year to perform an open-air production in the grounds on Tuesday, July 29.

But it will be some way removed from the Disney version of the tale.

Illyria’s production is based entirely on Carlo Collodi’s macabre comic masterpiece for adults and children.

Collodi’s extraordinary story of redemption is also a hysterical satire on growing up.

Featuring a leading actor whose nose really does grow and a 20-foot shark, Illyria’s Pinocchio is suitable for everyone aged 5 and over.

Gates open at 6.30pm, with the show due to start at 7.30pm.

The performance is fully accessible and disabled parking is available close to the venue.

Those coming along to the event should bring a low-backed chair or rug, picnics and dress warmly.

Tickets are available now from Archaeolink priced £12 for adults and £10 for concessions.
