Bloggers with knowledge of rural Scotland and/or downshifting

We are a small independent publishing company in Aberdeen looking for bloggers with an interest in and/or knowledge of downshifting to promote our new humorous book, Chucking it All.

Chucking It All is a very funny personal account of downshifting in Orkney. It is not the normal "oh we went away and everything was wonderful and the quaint natives cooked us dinners" type of book, and it has already been described as "grumbly"!

Therefore we URGENTLY need people who:

(a) Are familiar with the concept of downshifting and have read other travel and/or downshifting books,
(a) who like dry and caustic humour and
(b) who already have existing web profiles on Amazon, My Space, Face Book, Live Journal, Twitter etc who can actively promote the book in discussion forums, chat areas, personal blog sites etc.

We do NOT want spammers or people with no history or profile to simply reproduce our press releases.

Please contact us with a brief resume of your knowledge of either downshifting, back-packing or the Scottish islands - or humour! - and let us see some typical postings. If you have large followings on Twitter etc, or can show us high personal blog figures, then all the better, but what we really want is someone who can be articulate and enthusiastic about this book, and who can promote it to a relevant audience.

You can be based anywhere in the world as long as you have a good command of written English and you must, of course, read the book as well as the press releases that we will send you.
