Voluntary Arts Scotland anounces Big Lottery Success

"Voluntary Arts Scotland is pleased to announce that we have been successful in our recent Big Lottery Fund application. Applied for through the Dynamic Inclusive Communities strand, the grant will allow us to carry out exciting new development work for the next five years. We will be: increasing our staff capacity in order to help the voluntary arts sector access more resources and support; working closely with CVSs, volunteer centres, local authorities and art/craftform umbrella bodies to help them be more effective in supporting their genres and local member groups; launching an ''Arts Ambassadors'' scheme for Scotland linking our sector to local policy and decision making; running an ICT seminar programme and improving the VAScotland website to make its resources even more extensive and accessible.

We are still awaiting decisions on other aspects of our funding for the future, but are pleased that these resources will greatly increase our ability to meet the needs of the voluntary arts and crafts sector. Watch this space for details!"
