“WILDSCAPE”

An evening of Words and Music in Inverurie featuring poet Kenneth Steven and fiddler Daniel Thorpe.

Monday, March 22nd in Acorn Centre, Inverurie West Church at 7.30pm. Tickets £6, payable at the door.

This is a one hour recital of words and poems inspired by the Scottish highlands and islands, interspersed with traditional Scots fiddle music.
There will be a chance to talk to the artists after the performance.

Kenneth will sign his books and refreshments will be available.

KENNETH STEVEN, the celebrated Dunkeld based writer, is making a welcome return to Inverurie. He has published several collections of poetry;
many of his poems concern great moments in nature, hence "Wildscape".

One critic has said of his work that "the poems are full of lines which sparkle with the sunshine they are reflecting".

DANIEL THORPE is BBC Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of 2010. He is Inverurie born and bred, was a member of the Garioch Fiddlers
before studying at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where he gained an honours degree in Scottish Music. This award will offer Dan the chance to tour Scotland and the opportunity to record a C.D. of his music.
